The Port of Beirut was the site of a significant drug seizure, where over 25 kg of cocaine were discovered hidden within a banana shipment originating from Ecuador, according to the Internal Security Forces (ISF). The exact date of the seizure was not disclosed by the ISF. The operation was part of an investigation into an international smuggling network believed to be transporting large quantities of cocaine into Lebanon.
