Russia interested in increasing imports of Uzbek fruits and vegetables

During a working visit to Moscow, president Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the president of Russia. The meeting focused on issues related to the supply of agricultural products from Uzbekistan to Russia. President Putin expressed interest in increasing the import of Uzbek fruits and vegetables.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev confirmed Uzbekistan's readiness to expand its deliveries, highlighting the high quality and competitive prices of Uzbek agricultural products. He cited the recent visit of the head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, to the southern regions of Uzbekistan, where he was impressed by the variety and availability of local products.

The presidents discussed the development of the "Eurasian Agroexpress" project, which guarantees the swift delivery of agricultural goods from Uzbekistan to Russia, as the supply volumes grew. Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized the importance of this project for saturating the Russian market with quality products.

It is expected that the increase in deliveries of Uzbek agricultural products to Russia will contribute to stabilizing prices in the Russian market and expanding choices for consumers.
