“This year we'll have fewer medium sizes than we would have liked, but we'll have plenty of large and jumbo sizes of Medjool dates,” said Tomer Ezra, Mehadrin's managing director. “In any case, we'll have nice volume, and the quantity of dates will be enough to satisfy our customers and our markets.” Mehadrin can also offer organic dates.
The Medjool date is the most popular variety during Ramadan, and it will be available throughout the celebration, but Ezra noted that they'll also offer some niche varieties. “We'll have Bhari dates that will be harvested toward the end of the season and with help of Mother Nature we can offer these the last week of the Ramadan,” said Ezra. But that isn’t a guarantee since this Ramadan starts earlier and availability will depend on how the harvest goes. Additionally, Mehadrin will offer Choice Quality Medjool dates, which are lower-priced dates that don't match the high standards of their typical Medjool dates but which are still of good quality. Most of their business, however, will be focused on their high-quality Medjool dates.

Besides the Medjool Mehadrin also offer the Deglet Noor dates. “We have competition from Tunisia in this market,” said Ezra. “But most of our customers are willing to pay more to get good quality.”
Mehadrin will offer their Medjool, Deglet Noor and bio dates in one-kilogram and five-kilogram cartons.
