In harvest year 2012/2013 the consumption of potatoes in Germany has decreased from 64.5 kg per capita to 55.2 kg per capita. Although the consumption of potato products remain mostly constant (32.1 kg in fresh weight), the consumption of fresh potato declined hugely, by 9.4 kg to 23.2 kg per capita.
