Stockton Group and Syngenta Crop Protection sign distribution agreement
Syngenta Argentina to distribute Timorex Gold® biofungicide
The Stockton Group, a leader in innovative crop protection solutions based on plant extracts, has announced the signing of a distribution agreement with Syngenta, a global leader in crop protection. Syngenta Argentina will exclusively market and distribute the award-winning Timorex Gold, from Stockton. Under this agreement, Syngenta will launch Timorex Gold in the local market and will work with Stockton to ensure the marketing and technical development of the registered uses for Timorex Gold, as well as its expansion to any other markets that require it.
Timorex Gold will complement Syngenta's comprehensive portfolio of fungicides, offering growers an effective solution for integrated pest management (IPM) and insect resistance management programmes (IRM), with a product that leaves no residue in the product harvested.
"We are very pleased with the signing of this agreement. Syngenta distributes our Timorex Gold successfully in Chile and Mexico, and now in Argentina. This agreement strengthens the value of Timorex Gold for its customers and users," explained Fernando Illing, Country Manager of Stockton S.A. in Argentina. "Such a form of collaboration has become essential for Stockton as we rapidly expand in various world markets."
Producers will benefit from Timorex Gold's unique multi-mode of action, which strengthens the plants' natural immune defences to control fungal and bacterial diseases. Timorex Gold gives growers a wider range of options for effective disease control, reduces stressful conditions during the various stages of the crop's growth and reduces the chemical load application of conventional products. It can be used in a tank-mix, in rotation and as a separate product.
In Argentina, Timorex Gold is approved for the control of Grey mould on strawberries and powdery mildew in tomatoes and peppers. Timorex Gold is a registered trademark of Stockton Group.
