Valagro constructing new plant in Brazil

The Valagro Group, leader in the production and marketing of bio-stimulants and specialty nutrients, has announced it has started the construction of its new plant in Pirassununga, in the state of São Paulo, Brazil.

The project, announced in 2014 and with an investment of 10 million Euro, includes the construction of a plant with two production lines for the processing and packaging of water-soluble solid fertilizers and bio-stimulants. The plant will have an area of about 60,000 square metres and will guarantee a production of about 8,000 tonnes per year.

The transition to the project's operational stage, which will conclude in January 2017 with the plant's opening, has been achieved after obtaining both national and regional environmental licenses, which certify compliance with local environmental safety and sustainability standards, in line with Valagro's values, based on full respect to human health and the environment.

Thanks to the production plant in Pirassununga, Valagro will be able to respond more effectively to the needs of the Brazilian market, where it is already active with its own branch since 1998, with special attention to some of its major customers in this area, such as Coopercitrus .

"The construction of the production plant in Pirassununga will mostly support our logistics supply chain, allowing us to get closer to our customers in Brazil; it will also make it possible for us to respond effectively to many different needs," explains the CEO of the Group, Giuseppe Natale. "Secondly, it will give us flexibility for the production carried out at local level. For Valagro, all of this entails the full implementation of the Group's philosophy, which places customers at the heart of the business."
