New wet potato chips sold in Japan

A new product from the snack company Calbee is turning heads. There new 'Wet potato, moist Mild Soy Sauce Flavor' are soy flavored chips with a soggy outside but marketed to still contain a crispy center. Found only in the companies Calbee Plus branches, located in Japan, they boast a "Moist texture" which usually isn't something to brag about when discussing chips, according to chip aficionado Mr.Sato.

Mr. Sato, a reporter for RocketNews24, was sent to test the new chips and surprisingly reported that they met his standards, and live up to the marketing. While wet to the touch they retained a crunchy center, just as advertised. A wide release is not likely in the foreseeable future however, given the difficult production process.
