Honeydew melons in full swing for the season
Growing honeydew melons for nearly sixty years, Super Starr International, announces that this season’s crop is in excellent condition and is being harvested now through to the end of March, with volumes similar to last year.
Super Starr’s honeydew melons grow in Tecomán, Mexico, nestled between an active volcano and the tropical Pacific ocean, which produces ideal soil conditions to grow some of the freshest and highest quality product for the U.S. Fruit size continues to be large, and will include a majority of case quantities with 5's and 6's, with the option to purchase 8's as well.
“We’re excited for another successful honeydew season, with exceptional fruit quality and the same quality standards that our buyers come to expect with the Super Starr name,” said Lance Peterson, third generation farmer of the Super Starr brand and President at Super Starr International.
Super Starr continues to grow, pack, and sell its own product, to include Super Starr honeydew melon and watermelon, and both Super Starr papaya and Maradol papaya throughout the year.
