Turkey: ALNAR full range of pomegrate prodcts
ALNAR Narcilik Ltd encompassed 19 pomegranate growers in 2008. Now, there are 27 growers who have a minimum of 1 hectare orchard. The idea was to grow pomegranates, pack and export them with competitive prices. The 2011 season was quite good. Trees were healthy, fruit was of good quality and sold before harvest. Now they are getting ready for the 2012 season. Trees are pruned and everything is being done under the control of consultants.
The company now produces ready-to-eat fresh pomegranate arils using ‘state-of-art machinery’ to extract arils from the pomegranate. After deseeding, arils are packed into plastic containers and ready to be exported. ALNAR made it easy for the customers to access to fresh arils, the delicious taste and vitamins, without the hassle of peeling the pomegranate.
ALNAR has also added pomegranate juice into its product range. The uniqueness of this juice is hidden in its production processes. The juice is being produced from the fresh arils instead of fruits, eliminating the bitter tannin taste of the peel. The fresh squeezed pomegranate juice is flash pasteurized to retain flavor and nutrients and bottled without adding any sugar or protective additives.
ALNAR offers fresh pomegranates; early variety 116 (mildly sour), early variety 128 (sweet) and Wonderful. Food safety and hygiene is of the utmost importance for ALNAR. All orchards are GLOBALGAP certified.
