While pepper prices normally fluctuate in February, this year they are remaining stable. The Green California stands at 0.65 to 0.77 Euro; the Red California registers initial prices at 0.87 Euro and final auction sales at 0.64 Euro and the Yellow California has an average price of 1 Euro per kilo. Red Lamuyo peppers reach initial prices of 0.93 Euro and final sales at 0.62 Euro; Green Lamuyo prices range between 0.72 and 0.97 Euro per kilo. Italian Green peppers remain expensive, with prices ranging between 0.95 and 1.20 Euro.
Courgette prices are lower this week, from 0.60 to 0.42 Euro per kilo. Striped aubergines have gone up to initial prices of 2.70 Euro and averages standing at 1.90 Euro, while long aubergine prices range between 1.50 and 1.75 Euro. Long cucumbers have again become more expensive, with initial prices of 1.20 Euro and final auction sales of 0.82 Euro; French cucumbers register average prices of 0.85 Euro and short black cucumbers range between 0.80 and 0.97 Euro per kilo.
Green beans are now slightly cheaper, although they remain expensive. Perona long beans stand at 2.40 to 3 Euro; Strike beans have an average price of 4.50 Euro and Helda beans range between 2.50 and 3.20 Euro per kilo.
Tomatoes are still unable to reach high prices this campaign, largely due to Moroccan exports to the European market. Pear tomatoes register an average price of 0.38 Euro, Long-life green tomatoes stand at an average of 0.55 Euro and vine tomatoes range between 0.35 and 0.50 Euro per kilo.
