Chile: Blueberry season starts to wind down

The Chilean blueberry season is now winding down and is in the final stretches. From last week onwards export volumes are not expected to reach above 1,000 tons weekly.

The central south zone has all but finished harvest now, though the south is still harvesting and is expected to continue for another two weeks, albeit at greatly reduced volumes. Rains have interrupted picking recently, but no further problems with this are anticipated.

Week 9 exports reached 2,069 tons, 22% higher than last season.
