According to Francisco Morales Bermúdez Pedraglio, business and international trade consultant

Peru: Free Trade Agreement with Russia, India and Vietnam to bring benefits

International trade and business consultant, Francisco Morales Bermúdez Pedraglio, pointed out that FTAs subscribed by Peru brought up large benefits to the country, so in order to keep growing, new economic agreements must be signed with Russia, India, South Africa, Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia.

In that sense, he pointed to the importance of getting agricultural products to those countries.

"Russia buys US$35 billions of fruits and vegetables every year; India buys potatoes, olive oil and others; Vietnam has a potential market of 80 million inhabitants; South Africa, Indonesia and Malaysia are also countries buying big amounts of food".

The business consultant manifested that the national products to have a big demand in those countries would be: garlic, olives, onions, oregano, mandarine, mango, avocado, asparagus, sesame, grape, cocoa, tomato, artichoke, paprika, strawberry, blueberry, cherry, pineapple, papaya and citrus.
