Following the acquisition of shares in FTrade and Fortallog, Allog Group, a prominent player in Brazil's reefer cargo market, anticipates a significant upturn in fruit exports for 2024. This strategic consolidation enhances Allog's integrated logistics services, offering comprehensive solutions including storage, customs clearance, and international freight. In 2023, FTrade's exports of fruits, including mangoes, grapes, and melons, amounted to 17,678 TEUs, leading the reefer sector in Brazil.
Allog projects a 10% to 15% increase in fruit exports in 2024, driven by a surge in mango demand from Europe and the United States, despite an expected rise in domestic consumption due to falling logistics costs. The group managed 105,624 TEUs of maritime and 3,820 TEUs of air transportation in 2023, also marking its presence in the forest products and solar energy panels import sectors.
The introduction of US Domestic, a new initiative by Allog, aims to enhance logistics transparency and efficiency for US-bound cargo, addressing challenges identified during the pandemic. "We first identified this need during the pandemic, when shipowners and the entire domestic supply chain were overflowing with backlogged demand. Then, we started dealing directly with local suppliers and keeping a close eye on the process. This strategy yielded great results, helping create faster, transparent logistics," explains Diogo Bernstorff, Allog's Product Director.
