Fruit attraction in São Paulo to showcase Brazil's agricultural prowess

This week, from April 16th to 18th, Fruit Attraction São Paulo will open its doors, marking a significant event in the fruit sector by showcasing the diversity of Brazilian fruits. The event will bring together producers, experts, and enthusiasts globally, emphasizing Brazil's role as a key player in fruit production. According to Guilherme Coelho, president of the Brazilian Association of Fruit and Derivatives Exporters (Abrafrutas), this fair serves as an important platform for promoting Brazil's fruit cultivation capabilities.

Brazil, producing over 45 million tons of fruit annually, is recognized as a leading fruit producer on a global scale, offering a wide range of fruits from different regions of the country. Coelho points out that Fruit Attraction São Paulo is an opportunity to highlight the Brazilian fruit sector's strengths, including its year-round production, diversity, quality, and excellence. The country's advanced infrastructure and modern production systems ensure the safety and quality of its fruits. Additionally, Brazil's commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles has enhanced the sector's global standing.

The adoption of sustainable agricultural practices, underscored by certifications like GlobalGAP and the Rainforest Alliance, demonstrates Brazil's dedication to sustainability and environmental respect. The fruit sector significantly contributes to employment, especially in rural areas, fostering economic and social development. Coelho emphasizes that Fruit Attraction São Paulo will display the sector's talent and innovation, with a focus on sustainable growth to maintain Brazil's position in the international fruit market. The event will feature lectures, workshops, tastings, and exhibitions, highlighting fruit production as an integral part of Brazilian culture.
