The National Cereal and Produce Board (NCPB) has initiated a compensation process for farmers impacted by the distribution of substandard fertilizer under a government subsidy scheme. The action follows directives from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development (MOALD), as communicated by the board's managing director, Titus Maiyo.
Affected individuals are required to submit formal complaints alongside their original identification documents and proof of purchase. The fertilizers in question, distributed by KEL, were marketed under the names Kelphos Plus, Kelphos Gold, and NPK 10:26:10. Maiyo highlighted that the NCPB has commenced the compensation process for those who acquired the substandard fertilizers, in adherence to MOALD's instructions.
