In the Termez district of the Surkhandarya region, intensive orchards have been cultivated on hilly lands that have been unused for years. Over 102 hectares, drip irrigation technology is employed, enabling the production of excellent yields of various apricot varieties such as Mikado, Magadant, and Kaloroda.
According to correspondent Podrobno.uz, the agro-company has already harvested the early crop of apricots. The saplings of these early and high-yielding fruits were imported from abroad and quickly adapted to the local climate.
The growers plan to export around 1,500 tons of apricots to Russia as the fruit quality meets global standards.
