In April 2024, officials from the Rosselkhoznadzor department for Moscow, and Tula regions inspected approximately 150 vehicles. They conducted quarantine phytosanitary control over more than 2,700 tons of fresh watermelons imported into the Moscow region from Iran.
Laboratory tests were conducted by the All-Russian Plant Quarantine Center specialists on sub-quarantine products, confirming their compliance with quarantine phytosanitary requirements. Following the successful completion of the quarantine phytosanitary control procedures, batches of fresh watermelons were released for unrestricted sale.
