"Imported mangoes from Vietnam and Cambodia sell well in China"

"The imported mangoes we currently sell come from Vietnam and Cambodia, while our domestic mangoes come from production areas in Hainan. We are actually able to provide year-round supply of various kinds of mango. The production season in Vietnam and Cambodia begins every year in November and continues until May of the subsequent year. Guangxi mangoes enter the market in May and leave the market in July when Panzhihua mangoes take over. Their supply continues until November." This is according to Xiao Yu of Beijing Xing Hui Rong Trading Co., Ltd.

"While the volume of mangoes imported from Vietnam and Cambodia gradually increased in recent years, a similar trend was visible in the production volume of domestic mangoes. The mango plantation industry in China already made great improvements in recent years in the areas of cultivation technology and the research and development of new product varieties. Our observation, however, teaches us that domestic mangoes still lag behind imported mangoes, such as Australian mangoes, when it comes to flavor or product quality. The price of imported mangoes from Vietnam and Cambodia comes closer to the price of domestic mangoes."

"Many fruit production areas in China enjoyed an abundant harvest this year. The excessive market supply caused the overall price of fruit to fall and fall again. Imported mangoes also suffered from the chaotic and depressed market conditions. Look at our sales, up until now, the sales volume is less than 50% of what it was last year. The mangoes that do sell well are the imported mangoes from Vietnam and Cambodia, and the domestic mangoes from Hainan."

"We currently sell most of our various mango products in wholesale markets and supermarkets in Liaoning, Jilin, and Heilongjiang, as well as Hebei, Shandong, and Inner Mongolia. While we continue to steadily develop our market share, we also hope to expand and supply additional markets, so that more consumers can enjoy the excellent flavor of our mangoes."
