Open Day on interconnected technologies and automation

RS Bilance organized an Open Day for its customers. The number of participants was limited, and the setting was very informal, making way for a fruitful working day.

The exhibition of RS Bilance machines (click here to access the photo album), which took place in a luxurious location in Acireale (CT) in Sicily, provided the opportunity to discuss not only RS Bilance machine interconnectivity according to Industry 4.0 standards, but also the connectivity of machines to external software and industrial automation, production control, and product traceability.

RS Bilance is specialized in the automation sector, in the design and production of weighing systems, automatic checkweighers, checkweighing checkweighers, automatic labellers, vision control systems, metal detectors, control and data management software.

"We have customers all over the world and with this event, given the lack of international fairs, we felt it was useful to organize a meeting with our customers and business partners. Besides, as it is our habit to take care of the assistance and maintenance of our plants, in the same way we take great care also of the relationships with our interlocutors and buyers," said Santo Rapisarda, general manager.

More than 140 people attended, gathered in small groups, in strict compliance with the anti-Covid regulations, guided by Santo Rapisarda and other RS Bilance technicians and engineers, who provided information and solutions to questions.

Among the machines on display were the "Automatic Checkweigher" GWX Plus, the "Manual Checkweigher" SPM Station Plus, the "Small Capacity Checkweigher" CX Dynamic, available both with and without tilting, and the "Automatic print and apply labeling machine from below" AS2 Plus NT.

"The choice of displaying only 4 machines out of a range of over 70 possible types is clearly due to the space requirements available in a luxury hotel, which nevertheless made it possible to welcome guests in the utmost comfort. The event was attended by companies of the Consortium for the protection of Pachino Igp tomatoes, the company Isolagrande, the winery Il Castello, the Coop. Agrologica, the company Fortunato, the company Frantoio Cutrera and many other prestigious companies operating in the field of the Italian high- quality fruit and vegetable and food production.

The range of RS Bilance systems goes from automatic and manual scales, to pricing machines, labelling machines, as well as vision systems, metal detectors, diverter aligners and their software. In addition, the company designs dedicated ready-to-use processing lines and, where there are pre-existing systems, is able to adapt them to the most advanced standards and also intervenes at points of sale with software for the controlled management of product transit processes, from their arrival to their sale. 

There was also an opportunity to meet RS Bilance distributors, some of whom came from abroad, such as Manel Farres of Cintrasfer, distributor of the Italian company in Spain. A special thanks also goes to our partners Ecia Equipamentos consultoria, distributor of the Italian company in Portugal and A.P.S. Machines, our distributor in Greece.

From northern Italy there were Delta service srl and the partner for fruit and vegetable plants Tecno Group lab srl. The event was also attended by the salesmen of our company, Giuseppe Cardarapoli (RsBilance salesman, southern and central Italy) and Luca Clerici (RsBilance salesman, foreign countries).
