According to a report by the Russian satellite news agency sputniknews, the Russian Animal and Plant Inspection and Quarantine Service have notified that since December 3, it has approved the import of pomelo supplied by seven Chinese companies.
The list of companies is as follows:
Minfeng fruit planting professional cooperative in Cengong country;
Fujian pinghe guoxi fruit & vegetables CO., LTD;
Zhangzhou zhuangyi agriculture development CO., LTD;
Zhangzhou baohe commercial trade CO, LTD;
Jinging fruit & vegetables professional cooperative in Pinghe country;
Pinghe hengxin fruit & vegetables CO., LTD;
Fujiang province pinghe tianyu fruit CO., LTD.
The notification stated that: “The importation of pomelo supplied by seven Chinese companies will be approved from December 3, 2021.” This decision was made because of an agreement reached with the General Administration of Customs of China: The two sides will work together to remove the temporary restrictions on the export of Chinese citrus and fruit crops to Russia as soon as possible.
Pomelo is a plant of the Rutaceae and Citrus genus. The tender branches, leaf dorsal, pedicel, calyx and ovary are all pilose. The tender leaves are usually dark purple-red, and the tender branches are flat and ribbed. It is native to Southeast Asia and has been cultivated in China for more than 3000 years. It is planted in Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Guangdong, Guangxi, Taiwan, Fujian, Hunan, Hubei, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan and other provinces. Pomelo likes a warm, humid climate and is intolerant of drought.
