Export of mangoes from Mexico to the United States has recovered

As reported by the Association of Producers-Exporters of Mangoes of Mexico (EMEX), the USDA service was suspended in the state of Michoacán on February 15, and that same night, after reviewing its safety protocols, it was reported that a day later, on February 16, all regular certification and export activities were to be resumed.

EMEX president Engineer Eduardo Castillejos said: "Our work is developing normally in the states where the mango season has started. And we also have excellent quality mangoes."

"The mango sector is working as usual and regular shipments are being made to the United States," said the head of EMEX.

Sources from EMEX have stressed that "this year, we will have a very constructive and interesting campaign in the U.S. market."
