Guangdong Excellent Fruit Agricultural Investment Co., Ltd. manages a wide variety of import fruits, but has also come to pay more and more attention to premium domestic fruits. "China produces a wide variety of fruits including citrus fruits, apples, and blueberries. These fruit varieties are rich in nutrients. The domestic fruit industry is also paying attention to improvement of fruit varieties. In addition to competition on the basis of product quality, Chinese fruit traders are now starting to see the importance of branding, packaging, and fruit selection equipment. The domestic Sunshine Rose grape is an excellent example of this development."

Mr. Huang of Excellent Fruit Agricultural Investment recently talked about current conditions in the Chinese domestic fruit market. "The greatest advantage that domestic fruit has over import fruit is its freshness. Domestic distribution is convenient and turnover is quick. At the moment, consumers do not pay much attention to production origin. They pay more attention to flavor and appearance."
Excellent Fruit Agricultural Investment has increased their investment in domestic fruit to meet the growing Chinese market demand for premium domestic fruit. "The domestic fruit variety with the most market potential is the blueberry. The domestic production volume is huge. Market demand is strong and blueberries are popular with consumers. Most of the domestic blueberry supply volume comes from Yunnan. Our company buys the blueberries directly from the plantation."
In addition to cooperation with plantations, Excellent Fruit Agricultural Investment also owns plantations in Xinjiang and Gansu. The Xinjiang plantation produces grapes, Hami melons, and crab apples. The Gansu plantation produces watermelons. Most of the fruit from their Xinjiang plantation was destined for export markets in Southeast Asia, but since the outbreak of Covid-19 most of that fruit is redirected to the domestic market. There are export markets for Chinese fruit. Certain fruit varieties are quite popular in Southeast Asia. There is market demand and feedback is not bad. The ability of Chinese fruit to conquer more distant markets is of course important for Chinese traders. But there are some key factors that come into play for exporters of Chinese fruit. In addition to product quality, the entire post-harvest production process requires constant improvement. That includes processing equipment, refrigerated transport, and integration of logistical processes. Only then can Chinese fruit find its way into the international market.
