Many regions have abolished 2G networks and switched to 4G networks. The coverage of 4G networks is rapidly expanding and is quickly becoming the mainstream frequency in most countries. Improvements in network coverage and the related development of the Internet of Things (IoT) also raise requirements for monitoring equipment used in the Chinese cold supply chain.
Shenzhen Tzone Digital Co., Ltd. is a company specialized in the research, development, and manufacturing of thermometers and hygrometers. After thorough testing the company recently introduced their new 4G-enabled digital data logger that combines temperature and moisture monitoring capabilities.
Frank, a spokesperson for Tzone Digital, first indicated some of the prevalent problems in the Chinese cold supply chain: "Although the coverage of 4G and even 5G networks is continuously growing, and even becoming the standard in many countries, there are still many differences in frequencies between countries. Refrigerated distribution often crosses borders and moves from one network to another. For example, many European countries use the NBIOT frequency, while countries in Central America make use of CATM1, and some countries in Asia still operate on 2G networks. The incompatibility between networks creates obstacles for the reliable real-time communication of digital data from monitoring equipment used by importers and exporters."
In order to resolve this issue, Tzone Digital introduced a 4G-enabled data logger with thermometer and hygrometer capabilities. Their TT18 hit the market in late November. "Our TT18 records temperature and moisture like traditional data monitoring equipment does, but is also equipped with 4G communications technology that allows for real-time submission of date related to temperature, moisture, and location. Moreover, the TT18 is compatible with CATM1, NBIOT, and 2G networks, which ensures maximum coverage anywhere on the globe and efficiently solves one of the major obstacles for clients in the international cold supply chain industry. The TT18 automatically switches between networks to optimize the connection and guarantee continuity in real-time data transmissions."
Not only is the TT18 compatible with multiple network frequencies, but the data logger also introduced new features to further guarantee the safety of products in distribution. According to Frank, "in addition to temperature and moisture, safety is also a key value in international distribution. The TT18 can effectively detect and record the location of products in distribution, which shows importers and exporters whether the shipping container has been illegally opened and provides clients with a way to trace their products. This improves reliability in the entire cold supply chain industry."
The TT18 has passed many tests in countries across the global before being introduced to the market in late November. "The industry has a great interest in 4G technology. We already received many orders from clients in the fresh produce, fruit and vegetable, and cut-flower industries even before our TT18 entered the market," said Frank. "And we are happy to provide product samples to anyone in the industry with an interest in 4G-enabled real-time data monitoring solutions. We hope to provide even more companies with an efficient experience."
Shenzhen Tzone Digital was established in 2006. The Chinese high-tech company is specialized in various data monitoring solutions. The company has years of experience with traditional USB-based data loggers and relies on the in-company research and development team to further develop innovative products. Tzone Digital also owns their own factories where data monitoring equipment is manufactured with careful attention to the highest standards for product quality. Tzone Digital products have become a mainstream best-seller in China and abroad.
