Fruit production in Tajikistan increased by 22.3%

In Tajikistan, from January to October 2024, agricultural production saw a significant increase compared to the same period last year. According to the Statistics Agency, across all categories of farms, the following yields were recorded:

  • 1.19 million tons of potatoes, marking a 20.6% increase;
  • 2.93 million tons of vegetables, including 823000 tons of onions, up by 7.5%;

Fruit production notably rose to 692,000 tons, a 22.3% increase. This includes 203,000 tons of apples (up by 11.7%) and 269,000 tons of apricots (up by 14.8%); 245,000 tons of grapes, which is a 45% increase;

  • 1.10 million tons of melon crops, up by 16.2%.
