The feedback of a Calabrian farmer

"I was very pleased with my new Pellerano mulcher"

After he was handed it just a few days ago, Vincenzo Bilotta, an agri-business owner from Lamezia Terme (Calabria, Italy), could not resist the temptation to immediately try out his new Versilia mulcher with Automatic Inter-row Kit, trademarked by Pellerano.

"With this tool, managing weeds in my nectarine orchard is no longer a problem. The use of brushcutters, as I had been doing until recently, in addition to being expensive and dangerous, became impossible, because it forced me to have to commit a few work units to carry out operations that were not deemed of primary importance, in an era when lack of manpower is the order of the day."

"The inter-row cleaning of my 5 hectares of stone fruit trees was done quickly and carefully, reaching the trunk of the plants with ease. I am satisfied with the purchase. It is a tool that allows me to speed up work, achieving a better result than in the past while saving on labor."

The Pellerano mulchers, which are available in 42 models, have a working width ranging from 120 to 240 cm and provide significant speed and fuel savings. The motor drive uses oil-bath gears, which makes this professional equipment quieter and reduces routine maintenance.

The Bilotta company has a medium to high degree of mechanization and is avant-garde. After careful evaluation, the entrepreneur decided to purchase a chain mulcher, choosing one of the models from the Pellerano company in Lecce.

"The mechanized turf management, in a baulated orchard, is optimal, and the intended benefits are many: reducing competition between wild flora and the crop, counteracting soil degradation, improving the physical characteristics of the soil and especially porosity, and finally, reducing the use of herbicides to zero. We want to be in tune with the indications of the lawmakers regarding compliance with the principles of environmental sustainability and biodiversity, offering healthy products for the final consumer," concluded the farmer.
