CPMA Toronto has come to a close

Yesterday, April 27, was the second and last day of CPMA's Toronto trade show. In general, exhibitors were very positive about the event, and many said they saw everyone they needed and hoped to see. "The event was well attended with a good number of quality retailers and food service operators," said Ernst van Eeghen with Church Brothers Farms. "It was a very family-like atmosphere."

Most exhibitors shared that there was less foot traffic compared to the first day. "However, today resulted in more interesting leads for us," said the team of Agrolux. "Ultimately, that's what it is about."

A suggestion that was often heard was to extend the hours of the first show day from four to five and make the second day the shorter day.

During the show, CPMA held a step challenge, and FreshPlaza's own Astrid Van Den Broek came in fourth. Astrid walked a total of 52,816 steps in two days, which is the equivalent of 38.6 kilometers. Congrats Astrid!

On Monday, FreshPlaza will publish a photo report from the show.
