Kyzylorda region in Kazakhstan plans vegetable storehouse construction

A vegetable storehouse with a 4,000-ton storage capacity is set to be constructed in the Kyzylorda region, according to information from the Kazakh Agriculture Ministry reported by Kazinform News Agency. The facility will feature five cooling chambers, each with the capability to store up to 800 tons. The project will see an investment of 1.2 billion tenge.

In addition to the storehouse, the region is launching 11 investment projects this year. These include six projects focused on crop output processing and rice production, alongside two irrigation initiatives. Of these, seven projects have already been commissioned, notably a poultry meat plant with a 45-ton capacity and a commercial dairy farm able to handle 1,000 tons. Furthermore, two companies have expanded their corn cultivation areas to 1,184 hectares by adopting water-saving technologies.

The development of these projects aims to enhance Kazakhstan's food security and increase the export potential of its agricultural products.
