Fruit Attraction Brazil 2025 set to expand, highlighting growing fruit export opportunities

Preparations for the next edition of the Fruit Attraction trade fair, recognized in the European market and recently introduced to Brazil, are underway. The inaugural meeting of the Advisory Committee was held this week, setting the stage for the event scheduled from March 25 to 27 at the São Paulo Expo. The meeting, led by Marcelo Vitali, Ifema's delegate in Brazil, saw participation from industry leaders and government representatives, including Abrafrutas president Guilherme Coelho and Ibrahorti president Lauro Andrade, alongside Jaime Martín from Ifema. The gathering was concluded by Orlando Silva, the Brazilian ambassador to Spain.

The second Brazilian edition of the fair aims to double in size, enhancing the international buyers program and the Fruit Forum. Marcelo Vitali highlighted the expansion plans and the strong turnout for the fair's first edition as a motivating factor for a larger event in 2025. Jaime Martín noted the considerable interest in the 2025 fair, with significant space already booked. Participants will include fruit producers from Brazil, Latin America, the Middle East, Asia, and Europe.

Abrafrutas celebrated its 10th anniversary, with Guilherme Coelho emphasizing the event's role in showcasing the strength of Brazil's fruit sector. He noted that fruit exports exceeded US$ 1 billion in 2023, with expectations for new records in 2024. The recent opening of the Brazilian grape market in China was also highlighted as a significant development for the sector.
