European tomato prices at least 9% above 5-year average in November

In most regions, tomato prices in November dropped compared to October. The exception is France, where the European Commission's tomato dashboard shows positive figures for vine tomatoes and cherry tomatoes.

Compared to November 2023, there are more positive figures overall. However, a notable change is the absence of Dutch data in this month's dashboard update. As a result, only figures from France, Italy, and Spain are included for comparison.

When compared to the five-year average, tomato prices are at least 9% higher across all categories, except for French cherry tomatoes. Prices range from 9% higher (France, round tomatoes) to as much as 55% higher (Italy, loose round tomatoes).
