This organization promotes research in the science of sweet potato horticultural practices, processes and technologies to ensure the best quality produce for its members and consumers across the globe.
ASPMI promotes the farming and harvesting of sweet potatoes in 7 American states including North Carolina, California, Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Georgia and Washington.

Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute visionary plans to increase global sweet potato consumption.
- Marketing and Promotion: Lead campaigns showcasing sweet potato versatility and nutritional benefits.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate relationships with industry partners and international organizations.
- Financial Management: Oversee budgeting to ensure sustainable growth of ASPMI's initiatives.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team.
- Advocacy and Representation: Champion U.S. sweet potato industry interests at national and global levels.
- Innovation and Growth: Identify and pursue opportunities for market expansion.
