The Ukrainian market is currently seeing a lot of imported melons

The harvesting season for melon crops in Ukraine has just started, beginning a week earlier than last year.

Despite earlier forecasts, there is no shortage of watermelons in Ukraine. The supply of watermelons to the country has exceeded expectations this summer, leading to a decrease in prices to 0.65 euros per kilogram. However, there is no anticipation of a rapid decrease in wholesale prices for melon crops this season.

In the absence of products from the southern occupied territories, the market will continue to be dominated by imported watermelons and melons, similar to last year's situation. Watermelons are imported from Azerbaijan, Moldova, Turkey, Bulgaria, and Romania, while melons are imported from Uzbekistan.
