The Africa Down Under conference, that was attended by President Mokgweetsi Masisi and his delegation in Perth, provided the Ministry of Agriculture a lot of insight into different agri sectors.
Minister of Agriculture Fidelis Molao said part of their mission was to engage and explore the possibilities of cooperation between the two countries. He noted that Australia and Botswana shared similar climatic conditions and that certain breeds of animals and plants were likely to do well in the two countries.
He said follow-up visits would be undertaken in an attempt to diversify the agricultural space by adopting new technologies and infrastructure that could position the sector for global competition.
