If you want to evaluate the efficiency of a new technology, you need to see it in action. During the Orticoltura in Campo event (Guidizzolo - Italy, January 24-26, 2024), visitors will be able to experience on-site demonstrations while having the opportunity to attend several afternoon workshops. The purpose of the event is to help in the selection of the most suitable product to meet the needs of horticultural cultivation in open fields and in greenhouses.
Every two years, more than 50 industry-leading equipment manufacturers join forces to create an event dedicated to creating new opportunities for technicians, growers, service companies, and retailers. The companies exhibiting at the event represent the entire vegetable supply chain, from soil preparation to packaging.
"At Ferrari Growtech's headquarters," says a release from the organizers, "visitors will have the opportunity for a hands-on experience. The company is located in the town of Guidizzolo, in the north of Italy, close to Lake Garda and the city of Verona. The 27,000 sq. m. of covered area plus a 5,000 sq. m. greenhouse provide an environment that makes the all-weather event possible and allows new contacts to be made to develop and exchange business ideas and expand skills. This is an opportunity to be part of an international event that showcases the best of the Italian horticultural supply chain in terms of quality and innovation."
Visitors from all over the world will be able to understand and interact with the entire fruit and vegetable production chain, thanks to the organizers and companies Ferrari Growtech and Idromeccanica Lucchini. They will receive visitors to build new relationships, working groups, and partnerships to share all the latest developments that will support the horticultural market.
"To see first-hand how the machines work, there will be field demonstrations each morning. Different types of machines will be used. To avoid any weather-related problems, all demonstrations will take place in a large, multi-lane greenhouse. Each afternoon, attendees will be able to attend in-depth seminars to learn about the latest horticultural trends and industry innovations, as well as explore critical sustainability issues."
The organizers conclude: "The mission of Orticoltura tecnica in campo is to show the future through innovative and efficient solutions. The goal is the export of Italian quality, technology, and experience in horticulture to the rest of the world."
