The Rajpol Fruit Producers Group, based near Grójec, has inaugurated a facility dedicated to the processing and drying of fruits, specifically focusing on the production of apple flakes and cubes. These products are utilized as ingredients in various food items such as muesli, mixes, or bars. The plant boasts a production capacity of 5,000 tons of finished goods annually, aimed at addressing the surplus generated from the group's apple cultivation activities.
As reported at agroberichtenbuitenland.nl, Rajpol's orchards yield almost 60,000 tons of apples each year, with a portion of the produce being distributed across markets in India, Colombia, the Middle East, and Africa. Despite these efforts, managing the excess production domestically necessitated the establishment of the new processing unit. The group, which has previously invested in the Pola brand for expanding its range of fruit-based snacks, views this venture as a strategic move to enhance the utilization of surplus apples. The initiative has been endorsed by Czesław Siekierski, the Minister of Agriculture, who highlighted its potential to mitigate apple surplus and promote the availability of high-quality Polish products. Rajpol encompasses a network of 160 fruit growers, cultivating over 1,800 hectares, making it one of Poland's premier fruit production entities.
