VKF-Velddriel is committed to healthy growth and is acquiring three Oskam-companies

Van Kessel Fruit has reached an agreement with Kees Oskam on the takeover of three Oskam-companies. Due to reaching retirement age, lack of succession within his own family and some serious health issues from the recent past, Kees Oskam has managed to reach an agreement with VKF – Velddriel.

Kees Oskam: "After an intensive period, I can happily and proudly report that the Van Kessel family have become the new owners/shareholders of the Oskam companies."

The takeover contains:
- Handelsmaatschappij Jan Oskam B.V (trading company)
- C.A. Oskam Exploitatie Mij. B.V. (cold store, sorting and packing facility)
- C.A. Oskam Neerijnen B.V. (cultivation company)

Continued concentration on the part of the customers side and the presence of a strong, young and new generation, together with the growth potential of VKF, have ensured that the first discussions between Kees Oskam and VKF have been initiated. From the start, the conversations felt good for both parties, which ultimately led to an agreement.

VKF, where the 3rd (Gerard, Jacco) and 4th (Arjan, Jack) generation of 'van Kessels' are now employed, focuses on the Dutch and European top fruit market and has excellent sales contacts. The addition of the many contacts of the Oskam companies in almost all European countries represents a nice and welcome addition for the future.

With this acquisition, VKF now has its own cultivation locations in Velddriel, Waardenburg, Neerijnen and Oud-Vossemeer. The takeover will also expand their cold store and packhouse facilities.

Trading company Jan Oskam BV will continue to exist for all its customers and suppliers with unchanged locations, product assortment and customer contacts. Nothing will change in this. Financial details are not disclosed.
