Launching the China-Philippines Express 7 service

Mindanao container terminal boosts exports to China

The Mindanao Container Terminal (MCT) in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental, has launched the China-Philippines Express 7 (CXP7) service by SITC, enhancing export routes for Mindanao's agricultural products to China. This service aims to support the exportation of pineapples and bananas from Bukidnon, providing a reliable shipping option for local exporters. Aurelio Garcia, CEO of MCT, highlighted the service's alignment with the increasing demand for export facilities that can efficiently handle shipments to China.

The CXP7 route connects Shanghai, Wenzhou, Manila (South), Cebu, and Cagayan de Oro, with weekly visits to MCT every Monday. The service was inaugurated with the docking of the 1,800-TEU vessel SITC Haode at Cagayan de Oro. Operated by International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI), MCT is instrumental in facilitating the export of fresh and processed agricultural goods from Mindanao, thereby reinforcing the Philippines' status as a key exporter of pineapples and bananas.
