Turkish hazelnut campaign launches in India

The Turkish Hazelnut Exporters Associations have initiated a four-year campaign to introduce Turkish Hazelnuts in India, with an event hosted at the Turkish Embassy in collaboration with the Nuts and Dry Fruits Council of India (NDFCI). The launch was attended by notable figures including Fırat Sunel, the Turkish Ambassador, Hasan Osman Sabır, Chairman at the Blacksea Hazelnut and Hazelnut Products Exporters Association, and Gunjan Jain, president of NDFCI.

Fırat Sunel remarked on the occasion, "The launch of Turkish Hazelnuts, in the Indian market marks a significant milestone in the partnership between Turkey and India. Our hazelnuts are not only a testament to Turkey's rich agricultural heritage but also to our commitment to quality and tradition. This initiative highlights the strengthening bilateral relations and opens exciting opportunities for further collaboration in the food and culinary sectors."

Sabır highlighted the potential of the Indian market for Turkish Hazelnuts, noting an increase in demand and the versatility of the nuts in confectionery items. Jain expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, emphasizing the rising demand for premium nuts in India and the role of Turkish Hazelnuts in meeting this demand.
