In the first seven months of 2024, Azerbaijan exported 19,749 tonnes of strawberries worth $25.21 million, reflecting a 5% increase in value and a 12% rise in volume compared to the same period in 2023.
The average price per kilogram of strawberries during January–July 2024 was $1.25, marking a 6.7% decrease compared to the previous year.
However, the country's hazelnut exports have seen a significant decline. In the first eight months of 2024, Azerbaijan exported 9,672 tonnes of hazelnuts worth $59.28 million.
This represents a 16% drop in value and a 32% decrease in volume compared to the same period in 2023.
Despite the decrease in volume, the average price per kilogram of hazelnuts increased by 23%, reaching $6.13.
