Fire incident in Payette, Idaho sees swift recovery after small fire

A fire incident occurred on the night of Sept. 25 at Central Produce in Payette, ID, impacting the loading dock minimally. Operations resumed at full capacity shortly after the event. Eagle Eye Produce, a partner company based in Idaho Falls, reported that the fire was promptly extinguished, and investigations into its cause are underway.

According to a statement from Eagle Eye Produce, no injuries were sustained, and emergency services acted quickly to control the situation. The fire was confined to a small section of the loading dock, leaving the main facility unaffected. Investigations into the fire's origin are still in progress.

The company confirmed that operational capacity was fully restored by Sept. 30, with a brief two-day interruption. Support from neighboring facilities in Idaho and Oregon was notable, aiding in order fulfillment and offering additional assistance. This support underscored the solidarity within the produce industry.

Eagle Eye Produce acknowledged the minimal impact on customers and thanked them for their patience and ongoing support. The company's presence in the region, with additional warehouses, facilitated the continuation of operations with minimal disruption.

Gratitude was expressed towards the emergency responders for their rapid response and the broader community for their support. Special recognition was given to the Central Produce team for their efforts in quickly reinstating full operational capabilities.
