Dr. Tarek El-Houby, Chairman of the National Food Safety Authority, has formalized a cooperation framework with New Zealand on food safety. This agreement underscores the mutual trading relationship, highlighting Egypt as a key market for New Zealand's exports within Africa. The collaboration extends to New Zealand exporters and Egyptian food manufacturers, focusing on the importation of premium ingredients like butter, cheese, and dried milk from New Zealand. These imports are integral to the production of food items in Egypt, destined for both local consumption and international distribution. Conversely, Egypt supplies New Zealand with agricultural food products, including frozen strawberries, oranges, and dried onions.
