Colliers announces sale of two macadamia orchards in Australia's Bundaberg region

Colliers has announced the availability of two macadamia orchards, Winfield and Miara, located in Bundaberg, Australia. Positioned on 1,512ha, these orchards are recognized for their productivity and strategic location in one of Australia's leading macadamia production areas. The sale, managed by Colliers Agribusiness, offers these properties either as a combined purchase or individually.

The orchards are situated in the Bundaberg region, noted for its optimal horticultural conditions, including fertile volcanic soil and consistent rainfall. This area is a key player in Australia's macadamia industry, which is seeing an uptick in demand due to a growing consumer preference for healthy foods and food security concerns.

Winfield and Miara together encompass 480ha of macadamia orchards and an additional 48ha of vacant land available for further orchard development. Winfield, the larger orchard, spans 750ha with a substantial tree count and has undergone recent improvements to boost yield significantly. Miara, covering 762ha, is in a growth phase with a focus on advanced irrigation systems to enhance production as the trees mature.

The properties benefit from their proximity to Bundaberg, offering efficient logistics and easy access to transport hubs, crucial for distribution to domestic and international markets. The sale is positioned as a unique opportunity to invest in a growing sector, with the properties boasting advanced farming practices and potential for further development.
