Azerbaijan exports 43,000 tons of apples, earning $28.3M

In a recent update from the State Statistics Committee, Azerbaijan has been active in the apple export market from January to August 2024. The country managed to export 43,000 tons of apples, generating $28.3 million in revenue. The bulk of these exports were directed towards Russia, totaling 36,900 tons, while the smallest volume, 4,000 tons, found its market in Saudi Arabia.

The export prices varied significantly depending on the destination, with the highest average price recorded for Saudi Arabia at 11.61 USD. Contrastingly, exports to Iraq and Turkmenistan fetched the lowest average price, at just 0.40 USD.
