HK-Pack Krautscheid GmbH from the county of Grafschaft Gelsdorf and HBW Pack GmbH from Bremen are appearing together for the first time at this year's ExpoSE in Karlsruhe, the leading trade fair for direct agricultural marketing in Germany. Both companies have many years of expertise in packaging solutions for fruit and vegetables – especially in paper bags, fruit trays and service packaging. Together, they now want to combine their expertise in the field of agricultural and food packaging in order to offer producers and direct marketers throughout Germany customized solutions.
HK-Pack has established itself in south-west Germany as a reliable partner and strong market player, while HBW, with its six locations in north and east Germany, is close to its customers. This new partnership is supported by the creation of a joint product range and the closely coordinated procurement, logistics and sales planning of the two companies. This results in clear advantages for their joint customers: a comprehensive product range, attractive prices and individual, personal on-site support.

One highlight of the presence at the ExpoSE is the first joint product catalog, which includes a wide range of packaging solutions for the agricultural industry. The two companies are particularly proud of the first jointly developed product: a paper potato bag with 9-hole punching and wet-strength gluing. This innovative packaging solution is available from stock as a neutral bag or with customized printing, and is perfectly suited for direct marketing in retail or for use in vending machines. The contents remain clearly visible through the viewing window and, since the bag is made of pure paper, it is recyclable and biodegradable.
"Thanks to bundled procurement, we can offer attractive prices even for small quantities, including for special productions," explains Benjamin Wegner, Sales Manager at HK-Pack GmbH. The range is supplemented by a variety of other bags, baskets, trays and flexible packaging that meet the specific requirements of the agriculture and food industry.
expoSE as an international and cross-industry meeting place
The expoSE/expoDirekt trade fair duo has developed very positively in recent years and has become more international and cross-industry. A positive development that should be continued, says Wegener. "The trade fair remains an important event for meeting with existing and new customers and for learning about the latest developments in direct marketing and fruit and vegetable growing. Accordingly, we plan to continue to be an integral part of the trade fair."
