On 18 December, the creditors' meeting regarding the provisionally granted suspension of payments for FlevoTrade Onions, one of the companies within the FlevoTrade group, was held. The meeting also addressed the future of the FlevoTrade group. Parties involved, including the supervisory judge and the administrator, Mr. J.P. Davids, have expressed a positive outlook on continuing the suspension of payments. "As FlevoTrade, we are pleased that, with the consent of the creditors, the court decided to grant a final moratorium for one and a half years. This provides FlevoTrade Onions with more time to resolve its debt issues and gives the FlevoTrade Group a foundation for financial recovery, restoration of confidence, and further development."
Restructuring and confidence
FlevoTrade can now fully focus on financial recovery, restructuring, and strengthening its position in the coming year. The outcome of the creditors' meeting has given the company renewed energy and motivation to prepare for the future. "This decision not only gives us breathing room but also the opportunity to firmly re-establish FlevoTrade," said Piet van Liere.
Ready for the future
"With the support of all stakeholders and a clear restructuring plan, FlevoTrade looks to the future with confidence. The company now has the time and determination to capitalize on the opportunities ahead," the Dronten-based company stated. "FlevoTrade's favorable location in the northeastern Netherlands, where onion cultivation has grown significantly in recent years, combined with its large sorting capacity, logistics, and global network, provides unique opportunities for further growth."
