Dr. Hugo Campos of CIP honored as foreign fellow by India’s agricultural academy

Dr. Hugo Campos, Deputy Director General of Science & Innovation at the International Potato Center (CIP), has been inducted as a Foreign Fellow by India's National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (NAAS). This appointment underscores the role of CIP in fostering agricultural innovation within India. With the membership of NAAS surpassing 900, including only 60 Foreign Fellows, this fellowship is a testament to CIP's contributions towards enhancing Indian agriculture and supporting its farmers.

The International Potato Center is dedicated to improving the livelihoods and incomes of India's farming community through the deployment of science, technology, and strategic partnerships. By focusing on crops such as potatoes and sweet potatoes, along with a spectrum of agricultural and urban food system innovations, CIP is poised to bolster the resilience and sustainability of agricultural practices in India, aiming to elevate productivity and food security for its farmers.
