Hazera and HM. Clause, both part of the Limagrain Group, will participate in Fruit Logistica from February 5 to 7 in Berlin. Michał Taraska and Manuel Ferrer, who lead the fresh chain approach for Hazera and HM. Clause respectively, will discuss their collaboration at their shared booth (A-50 in hall 1.2), focusing on product innovation and the role of partnerships in strengthening the value chain.
Focus on Fresh Chain Solutions
Over the three-day event, visitors will see a range of solutions from both companies' product portfolios. Michał Taraska explains that the collaboration allows them to combine expertise and product diversity with a shared goal of providing fresh, healthy, and sustainable vegetables globally. The companies will present a variety of crops, with a particular emphasis on tomato and watermelon varieties.
HM.Clause Portfolio
HM. Clause's selection includes the Oxheart tomato range, featuring varieties such as Dossimo and Flamansun, which come in colors ranging from red flame and brown to yellow. Cherry tomato varieties like Intuitivo and Curioso, known for their resistance to ToBRFV, will also be highlighted. The Freeman variety, a mid-sized tomato suited for six-pack packaging, is included as well.
The company's melon range features Piel de Sapo, Galia, and Cormoran cantaloupes, selected for their flavor, shelf life, and fruit quality.
Hazera portfolio
Hazera will focus on snack tomato varieties, including the mini plum tomato Windsor, which offers virus resistance, high yield, and an extended 21-day shelf life. Also featured is the yellow cherry tomato HA 49040, resistant to ToBRFV, an improvement on the Summersun variety known for its taste. Another addition is the Tentadero, a cherry tomato with an umami-rich flavor and a green-to-brown color transition.
In the watermelon category, Hazera presents varieties such as Exotica, Lynx, the Exceed range, and Mufasa, a tiger-striped type. These hand-sized, seedless watermelons are developed for year-round availability and are recognized for their flavor and shelf life.
Collaborative approach
The collaboration between HM. Clause and Hazera are based on years of industry experience. Both companies contribute extensive knowledge and expertise in developing key tomato projects, such as Adora for HM.lause and Rosamunda for Hazera. The partnership aims to provide clients with comprehensive solutions and improved product offerings.
