In total, up to November 2024 (the last month for which there is official data available), Spain exported 3.06 million tons of fruits and vegetables for more than 4,600 million euros to the German market, driving many Spanish operators to participate in the Berlin fair, which starts today and ends on the 7th.

Exports to the German market increased by 11% over the same period last year and the export value increased by 6%.

According to data from Customs processed by FEPEX, from January to November 2024, Germany purchased from Spain 304,621 tons of Spanish watermelons, 281,778 tons of cucumbers, 281,672 tons of oranges, 247,953 tons of peppers, 206,309 tons of lemons, 186,964 tons of tomatoes, 103,829 tons of cabbages, 94,204 tons of melons, and 72,837 tons of strawberries.

Andalusia led Spanish exports to Germany, with 1.2 million tons until November 2024, accounting for 40% of all Spanish exports to this market. The Valencian Community followed with 843,534 tons (28% of the total), and Murcia with 701,457 tons (23% of the national total).
