Blue Diamond Growers, a large almond marketer and processor, has introduced The Nutty Cruiser, a mobile almond sampling vehicle set to launch on National Almond Day, February 16, 2025. The initiative aims to distribute one million almond samples across the United States as part of the "Bring Your Flavor" National Tour.
Tour and event details
The Nutty Cruiser will visit multiple U.S. cities throughout 2025, including Sacramento, Los Angeles, New York City, Boston, Washington D.C., Chicago, Milwaukee, Indianapolis, Bentonville, Panama City, and Columbus, with additional locations to be announced.
At each stop, the event will feature sampling stations offering various almond products, as well as interactive activities such as a Flavor Bar, tasting stations, and games like 'Guess That Flavor' and 'Almond-hole' (a variation of cornhole). The tour aims to introduce consumers to different almond flavors and provide information on almond-based products.
Built in Dallas, Texas, the Nutty Cruiser took over 1,150 labor hours to construct. The tour is part of an effort to raise awareness of almonds as a snack option and will feature product tastings and public engagement activities.
Launch event on National Almond Day
The Nutty Cruiser will debut at Urban Roots Brewery & Smokehouse in Sacramento, California, on February 16, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. PT. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample a variety of almond products, including new flavors of Snack Almonds, Almond Breeze Almondmilk, Nut Thins, and Almond Flour.
