Spanish peppers dominated the German market, flanked by Turkish and, locally, smaller Moroccan imports. According to the BLE, business was uneven and prices developed accordingly. While sales of Spanish products stagnated in Hamburg midweek but then picked up again after more cautious shipments, Munich reported a tight supply of Spanish goods throughout the week. This ambivalent availability of Spanish peppers continued throughout the week, leaving behind an equally mixed price structure, which ultimately pushed up the price of red and yellow loads again.
BLE market observation
Occasionally and at peak times, prices of up to 18 to 20 EUR per 5-kg box were charged, especially for yellow loads. In response, at some locations, traders brought in temporarily increased shipments of red and yellow California bell peppers from Morocco, which were always financially lower priced than the produce from Spain. Due to the winter weather in the growing regions, the Turkish specialties were also not available in abundance and thus again reached between 18 and 23 EUR per 6 kg presentation. The volume of Turkish Kapia remained very limited in many markets due to harvest delays.

Apples
Domestic loads apparently dominated and were mainly flanked by Italian and French club varieties. Lake Constance's produce continued to account for the largest share of the southern German wholesale markets.
Pears
The supply mainly consisted of Turkish Santa Maria, Italian Abate Fetel, and Santa Maria, as well as Dutch Conference and Xenia®. In terms of relevance, these were followed by Belgian, Dutch, and local Conference, as well as Turkish Devici and some domestic Xenia®.
Table grapes
The focus was on light seedless grapes with good coloration and an appealing berry size. Abundant deliveries from South Africa dominated the market, with shipments from Namibia and Peru complementing the scene. Prices fell across the wide range of products.
Oranges
Spanish fruit continued to dominate the orange segment. The presence of late varieties such as Lane Late and Navelate increased. Although Navelina and Salustiana lost market share, they still played an important role. The quotations of all offers remained essentially unchanged.
Small citrus fruits
Spanish mandarins clearly dominated: Tango, Clemenvilla, Nadorcott, Leandri and a small quantity of Orri were mainly available. Next in line was the highly demanded Orri from Israel, which increased their availability compared to the previous week.
Cauliflowers
The range was largely composed of Italian, Spanish, and French offers. Both the availability and the value of Spanish products declined. By contrast, Italian and French imports increased, resulting in an expanded range that caused prices to fall noticeably.
Cucumbers
Spanish supply formed the basis of the offer, Dutch and Belgian supplies continued to gain slightly in importance, but were not yet fully available on all markets. Frankfurt received mainly 400/500 g offers from Spain. Fresh 300 g+ products from Belgium cost just 8 EUR per 14-piece box in Hamburg.
Tomatoes
Clusters were mainly from Spain, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Round tomatoes were mainly supplied from Turkey, Morocco, and Spain. Beef tomatoes came from Spain and Belgium. The market for cherry tomatoes was divided between Italy and Spain, with more expensive goods from the Netherlands and Belgium.
