New frost technology cuts costs by 80% as global expansion grows

AGI Frost Fans is expanding its presence in North America, marked by recent installations in Washington state and increased interest at the World Ag Expo.

In February, installations were completed by Wenatchee Wind in Washington state, highlighting efforts to support agricultural regions affected by frost events. These installations are part of the company's broader strategy to address frost-related challenges in key farming areas.

A major factor driving this growth is the introduction of a retrofit option, which allows existing frost fan infrastructure to be upgraded with advanced technology. This upgrade is designed to significantly reduce shipping costs and decrease running costs by at least 80%, providing an alternative for growers looking to enhance their frost protection systems.

"The positive reception of our retrofit option demonstrates its practicality and economic benefits for growers who want to improve frost protection while minimizing environmental impact," said Stiaan Hugo, general manager at AGI Frost Fans.

Interest in frost protection solutions was also evident at the World Ag Expo in Tulare, California, where the company's technology attracted significant engagement. The event served as an opportunity to showcase advancements in frost protection and their role in safeguarding crops.

Following its success in North America, AGI Frost Fans is now focusing on expanding its dealer network in Europe. Efforts are underway to establish partnerships with local distributors to introduce its technology to European growers.

"We are committed to providing growers worldwide with reliable and efficient frost protection solutions," said Hugo. "Our expansion into Europe will allow us to reach more customers and help them protect their crops from frost damage."
